His father was elected from Punjab. He first joined the Wynberg Allen School in Mussoorie, but later attended Scindia School at Gwalior. He was graduated in 1976 from Panjab University, Chandigarh. A first-generation young entrepreneur, Sunil started his first business in April 1976 at the age of 18. In 1986, Airtel has its roots in Bharti Telecom Limited. Founded in 1986 by Sunil Bharti Mittal. But In 7 July 1995, He officialy started/founded Bharti Airtel Limited, also known as Airtel. Sunil Bharti Mittal is an Indian billionaire entrepreneur, philanthropist and the founder and chairperson of Bharti Enterprises, which has diversified interests in telecom , insurance, real estate, education, malls, hospitality, Agri and food besides other ventures.
